About me

My name is Boris Wiegand and I am a PhD student supervised by Jilles Vreeken and Dietrich Klakow at Saarland University. As a Data Scientist at SHS – Stahl Holding Saar, I pursue to combine the best of research and industrial application.

I am working on knowledge extraction from event logs. My research aims at developing methods to mine understandable models from complex event data. Application fields of my research include initial understanding of the control-flow in manufacturing and business processes, anomaly detection and bottleneck analysis.

Whenever I am not working, you will most probably find me at a pool table.
